Vacations are literally the IDEAL time to schedule your family photos! Think about it...at home, theres the hustle and bustle of work, school, sports, church, birthday parties...and that's just the bare minimum. And sometimes it's quite difficult to even get your immediate family together. But when you're on vacation, the hard part is done for you! You all are together and able to enjoy each other's company!
This stunning family travelled all the way from Texas and chose to schedule their session the same day as their arrival in Florida. I was able to meet them at their rental property in New Smyrna Beach so it was super convenient for everyone! I try to schedule most...if not all of my beach sessions at the clients location for a few different reasons. For one, parking can be pretty tough sometimes and another reason is that I've found that everyone is a bit more relaxed which in turn makes the session a bit easier on everyone.
Golden Hour and the Dunes
True, many people come to the Florida beaches for the sand and the surf. I don't blame them, their wonderful! But ask any Orlando family photographers and they will probably tell you that the dunes on the Florida Beaches, mixed with golden hour are quite impressive. They add great variety to your image gallery!
Why is Golden Hour the best time for my session?
Golden Hour is the period shortly after sunrise and just before sunset. This time is ideal for scheduling your beach session because the light at that time is much softer compared to the midday sun. Golden hour light reduces squinting, doesn't wash out skin tones, reduces harsh shadows and really just makes for an all around prettier image.
