Why Cocoa Beach works

Why families love Cocoa Beach.

Cocoa Beach is a favorite for vacation families, cousins and larger groups who want a classic Florida backdrop. Once we know who is coming and where you are staying, we’ll recommend a meeting spot that feels easy for the whole family.

Morning sessions are cooler and quieter, while evening sessions offer a soft, warm look that works beautifully for many vacation schedules.

Start with the light

We’ll help you choose the time that looks beautiful and works for your family.

01

Morning sessions

Soft light, cooler temperatures and a quieter beach for families who enjoy an early start.

02

Evening sessions

A comfortable option for families who prefer a later start and want to work around naps, travel or dinner plans.

03

The right meeting spot

We’ll choose a spot that gives your family a beautiful setting without adding an unnecessarily long walk.

A beautiful beach gallery with plenty of variety.

We can create the full family portrait, grandparents with grandchildren, individual families, cousins, walking photographs and playful moments near the water—all in one easy location.

Choosing the time that fits your family

Sunrise is lovely—but it is not the only option.

Early sessions are cooler and quieter, which can be wonderful for young children and summer dates.

When evening fits your family better, we’ll plan the session around the softer late-day light and make sure you know what to expect.

What we confirm: We verify the current access, property rules and conditions for the date before the location is finalized. The family’s needs—not a generic location list—decide the recommendation.

New Smyrna Beach has a more laid-back residential feel. Daytona offers an especially broad, flat shoreline for large groups.

Cocoa Beach details

A few questions families ask before booking Cocoa Beach photos.

Is sunrise required for Cocoa Beach family photos?

No. Sunrise is often the best option, but evening sessions can be beautiful when the season, cloud cover and family schedule support them. We’ll explain the differences before you choose.

Can you photograph a large family at Cocoa Beach?

Yes. We use an meeting spot with enough open shoreline and make the group list in advance so the full family, individual households, grandparents, cousins and children are included without rushing.

What happens if it rains?

We keep a close eye on the weather and will stay in touch if the forecast looks questionable. Florida showers can pass quickly, and we’ll make the clearest decision possible based on the conditions at the beach.

What should we wear?

Lightweight fabrics and a coordinated palette work well. We recommend avoiding identical outfits, tiny high-contrast patterns and anything that becomes uncomfortable in heat or wind.

A Florida beach family

★★★★★

Kind words from a family who has already been there.

“Michelle expertly included all of our photography needs. It takes real skill to work with such a large group, but she handled it effortlessly. Our beach pictures turned out absolutely beautiful—and every single photo is fantastic.”
