As a transplant from South Jersey, one thing has pretty much has been a staple in my business all these years...vacation photography. For about 13 years, the main part of MCP has been as a vacation photographer for hundreds of families traveling to New Jersey and Florida. It's honestly not something I sought out. It just kind of happened to fall that way and I absolutely love it!
But why? Why would someone want to plan yet another thing to do on a vacation when all they want to do is relax? And that's a totally understandable question! Here's the thing...after years of working with vacationing families from all over the world, I came to realize that it is SO MUCH LESS about perfect posing, everyone looking at the camera, perfect outfits and makeup but more about the time spent together, genuine smiles and silliness and the obligatory tantrum here and there. It's about putting your phones away and actually getting in some pictures with your family.
Every single one of my family sessions is completely geared around being relaxed, having fun, grabbing the classic "mantle pics" and being able to document your family being themselves. I don't ever want you to feel like it's another task you have to tackle, that the kids might not cooperate or a this is thorn in your side. I chase around the kids who don't want to sit for 30 seconds and the activities that you're participating in. Splash in the waves, play silly games, wrestle around. Enjoy that time together!
