Surprise Disney Proposal | Orlando Proposal Photographer

For Kaitlyn and Andrew's proposal, Kaitlyn's mom reached out to me on behalf of Andrew.

I really think there is nothing better than a Disney proposal.  Seriously.  For starters, the setting is magical.  Whether you're plan to pop the question is in front of Cinderella's Castle for potentially hundreds to see (no pressure ;)  ) or chillin' on the beach at the Polynesian watching the fireworks from across Bay Lake, a Disney proposal is something you'll always cherish.

For Kaitlyn and Andrew's proposal, Kaitlyn's mom reached out to me on behalf of Andrew.  Andrew knew how much Kaitlyn LOVED Magic Kingdom and wanted to propose during their vacation with friends.  The plan was Kaitlyn and Andrew were visiting Orlando with 2 other couples, they'd enjoy the parks and have a good time.  Kaitlyn's mom told Kaitlyn, as a gift she had hired me to do some pictures in the park or her and her friends.  To add to the excitement, secretly, pretty much ALL of Kaitlyn's family flew down to Orlando to participate in the proposal at Magic Kingdom.

Fast forward to the day of...

I met Kaitlyn and her crew early that morning and we leisurely grabbed some shots around the park.  BOOOOOY was it HOT that day. So we tried our best to find shade wherever possible because if anyone who visits Florida can testify, it's 10 degrees cooler, AT LEAST, in the shade.  That sun is blazing!  LOL.  Anywho...I was keeping in touch with Kaitlyn's mom who was doing a great job of keeping me informed of where they were and approximate timeline.

Honestly, as much as I love Disney proposals, I must say that when the proposal includes as many people as this one did, my nerves...my nerves and my brain go crazy.  Although it was very much planned out how we were going to circle the castle and end in the front, no matter what, I always go through the "what if" panicking stage.  Mainly because I want this day to be perfect for everyone.  A lot of planning and time and finances went into it and it deserves it...any proposal does.

After some cute shots, good laughs, and sweating beyond belief, I coaxed Kaitlyn and Andrew to the front of Cinderella's Castle as we turned the corner to our final destination, Kaitlyn spotted her family.  And then the real fun began!

I've blabbed enough...let the pictures do the talking :)

Andrew and Kaitlyn's mom weren't too sure how to keep the surprise going until the very end but I suggested we all gather for a large group picture of everyone and then slowly "peel off" people until just Andrew and Kaitlyn were left. And it went a little somethin' like this :)

And just like that it happened...Kaitlyn was truly surprised and having her family there made it super special.  This Disney proposal was a SUCCESS :)
